Horses that are stabled for long periods of time or are subject to damp, moist conditions can develop smelly feet. This is usually bacterial or fungal in nature and, if left untreated, can lead to more serious conditions requiring veterinary intervention.
Pictured is a Donkey hoof, full of seedy toe, which was successfully treated by mixing our Thrush treatment with sugar to make a paste which was applied to the hoof everyday and vet wrapped, the sugar drew the moisture out and the spray killed the bad fungal-like bacteria causing the seedy toe. The hoof was also dressed by a farrier every month.
Horses get seedy toe also but not as bad as donkeys. It is caused by damp conditions.
Our Thrush treatment contains natural ingredients so not to kill all the bacteria because hooves need some good and some bad bacteria but if the balance tips and Thrush starts to form, our spray will help balance the hoof again, keeping the good bacteria and repelling the bad.
Used in your regular grooming regime will ensure healthy feet.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
If the hoof needs washing first, please just use water and a soft brush. ( Can be applied to a wet hoof)
Wearing rubber gloves, spray a small amount either side of the frog and inside the cleft of the frog. Hold the foot up for a few seconds to ensure it penetrates the area. A little goes a long way.
