About Us

Brandy was Lisa’s 13.2 tri-coloured Cob who suffered from Feather Mites and Mallenders and Sallenders.

Regular vet visits and injections were required but the mites prevailed and the vet was unsure about the scabs. Hence we developed creams and lotions to try, until one morning, Lisa awoke to the sound of silence! No stamping from the stable and a much more settled Brandy.

We started producing the Farriers Equine Care range in 2013 following us passing on the creams, shampoos and lotions to friends and farrier clients who were keen for more.  We are pleased with how well our products have grown and developed into our range today, with glowing reviews worldwide and satisfying stories of how itching and painful leg problems have been remedied – our overall aim!

Farrier work and ownership is so much easier when your horse, donkey or pony has healthy, pain-free legs. Plus our products are much more economical than regular vet fees for treatments that do not necessarily work.  And rest assured that our products are produced from natural ingredients which are safe for humans and animals.

Over time we transferred our knowledge of mites and skin problems into the development of shampoos and sprays for small animals, as Lisa is an avid Guinea Pig owner, having had them since being 8 years old.

We are based in Lancashire and have a team of seven dedicated staff (eight including Cassie the dog) who love coming to work – something we are very proud of!
